Heat from laptop may be toasting skin on your legs

from The Seattle Times, October 4th, 2010

Summary:
Reseachers had found out that the heat generate by laptop can lead to "toasted skin syndrome" if we let a working laptop computer sits on our legs all the time. The "toasted skin syndrome" is an unusal-looking-mottled-skin condition, it may also cause permanent skin darkening, skin cancer or decrease the men's sperm production. It is caused by long term heat exposure of skin, apart from using laptop on the legs, overuse of heating instruments may also lead to "toasted skin syndrom". Some major laptop manufacturing companies has warned buyers to beware of that.

Opinion:
I am a new user to laptop computers, good to hear that early so that I can prevent that from happening on me, but sadly my usual activities also may cause this "toasted skin syndrome". I love sports very much and I always spend my days running and playing under the sun, everyday when I finish my practices or games, my whole body turns into red cause of serious sunburn. Although the news only talks about heat generating machines, I guess sunburn can also be a factor of "toasted skin syndrome", so I guess I would have to be careful with that from now...
